Africa Science Education Expedition A group of voluteers from North Carolina
A&T State Universityare planning to travel to Africa to witness the
March 29, 2006 African Total Solar Eclipse. During their week long stay,
the voluteers will conduct science outreach activities for selected
group of schools. These voluteers seek partners, sponsors and more volunteers
to make this expedition a success. If you wish to participate, please send

[Eclpise Parth] [Astrotrivia][Science on Wheels] What is it about?K-12 outreach programs and activities are the cornerstone for improving the quality of K-12 Education, and enhance the depth of knowledge, functional literacy, as well as improve the quality of incoming freshman students into the nation's colleges and universities. Organizers of this mission wish to collaborate with interested groups to develop and effective and sustainable outreach programs in Africa schools. This has the advantage of providing the platform for cutlrual unity and dialogue on STEM education in Africa. Such collaboration and exchange of ideas are vital in order to increase the number of university students in science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The objectives of the African Science Education Expedition include the following
Target Audience: K-12 Students, K-12 Teachers, and parentsCall for proposalsPlease submit posters, specific hands on activities together with lesson plans or discription of the activities in all STEM fields. Participating teachers and students will learn solutions and understanding of specific scientific, mathematical and technological problems. Activities that will attract more minorities and wormen to STEM fields are also emphasized. Please note that this will be a great opportunity to showcase outreach programs. Coming soon
